Haaziq Kaazi is the co-founder of the Ervis foundation and an innovator of the Ervis Ship which is indulged into cleaning plastics from the ocean. During his presentation, he highlighted 5 key aspects of structural innovation for designing a solution based project which included; Firstly, The cause of technology:- Emphasis was made that anything made as to be commercially feasible to gain the audience's attention. Haaziq gives an example of the Ervis shop where they looked at how investments could be made from collecting plastics with an idea of selling the collected plastic or transforming it back to the economic system, hence, giving it a strong financial feasibility. Realization of results of great financial potential when working in the field of sustainability in terms of SDGs for different stakeholders like the UN, Government, etc by Haaziq to the audience. Secondly, Feasibility:- It's noted in two aspects which are; financially and Technically. Emphasis put on how technical feasibility ought to make for the user on how it solves their problem in the first set up, research about the stakeholders and benefits of the projects to realise how one's idea solves any problem, see how one can manufacture the idea ie; availability of components to make it a reality. He encourages taking note of if the components are easily available or hard to solist. Thirdly is the Project methodology:- The key aspect here is put on the "Angile methodology " which involves breaking into different processes and collaboration with stakeholders and continuous improvement is noted at every stage. Concerning Prototyping:- Haaziq emphases on understanding stakeholders and the problem being important here as he says, "Failing first is important but if you are too big and fail; that might destroy you" and lastly; Environmental impact He tells the audience to keep the Environmental impact of the solution not while it's being implemented but rather its every step of incubation. He says, "Avoid solving a problem by creating another ". He also goes ahead to share key points the Ervis foundation examined on its project like "What is the carbon footprint that the ship is creating?".

A great honor for the POP Technology Conclave to host an Entrepreneur and social innovator, Federico Restrepo who has traveled to more than 55 countries in all continents with 10 years of experience working on sustainability and youth development, developed projects together with the United Nations, Asian Development Bank, African Development Bank, among others. Federico is the creator of Youth for Global Goals, a global initiative that mobilizes youth towards contributing on SDGs which in two years reached 120 countries, generating more than 10,000 projects led by young people and mobilizing more than 400,000 people.Founder of Energía Vectorial, StartUp focused and of Impact Hub Medellín, innovation laboratory focused in Entrepreneurship and Sustainability. He currently leads Impact 2030, an Incubation and Acceleration program for businesses with Impact on SDG. Selected by the United Nations Foundation as +SocialGood Connector along with 12 other people in the world as champion of the SDGs at the local level and C40, as founder of Energía Vectorial, as a high-impact entrepreneur for Carbon-free Streets. He shares a brief story on how he is using technology to cause positive impact dubbed "Impact Enterpreneurship". He brings to realisation how different people of different cultures identify issues and get to know how these can be solved as not all people see the problems the same way but focus is on how community action and technology can enable problem solving. Federico inspiration is stirred up by a niece (Milagrou) who develops health complications due to the air quality of Columbia. He hails from a city in Columbia known as Medellin "The city of Eternal spring " because it had a constant temperature of 24°C which has raised due to the climate change to now 28°C. He goes ahead to study why the air quality has dropped and realises that of the total emissions that happen in cities of developing countries, 65-90% come from transport. 3% of vehicles are generating upto 90% CO, 40% CO2 and 90% PM2.5. He starts figuring out the Problem tree with the problem focus point being air quality and how it affects the health, lands and competitiveness of cities. Coming to notice that transport being the major threat by 84% and 11% industries but the law hardly covers out the major threat he uses the tree and connects it to UNSDGswhicg enables him to understand the connectivity on issues affecting the community. The "Theory of change" allows him to understand the impact he wants to make and how to derive it. In this case, Transport being the cause ; the transport system needed to be addressed. He goes ahead to make "The Business Model Canvas" by making a chain of activities that could enable the problem they solved and generate income to make it sustainable. He created Energy Vectorial which focuses on decarbonizing for the world. The choices to make by this were two ie; taking out gas engines and replacing them with electric engines or encouraging people to use bikes and public transport which understood that change of behavior is complicated unlike change in the car engines. Federico says that they believed a change in the car engine would improve the air quality gradually. They focus on converting 85,000 cars to reduce emissions by 90%. Federico is quoted saying "Every problem once it's understood where it is coming from its very easy to find a solution ready out there to be implemented and it's very important to note how income can be generated so as to make the project sustainable.

A great pleasure having a discussion with Adedokun Ayobami who is a young dynamic tech-entrepreneur with a penchant for innovation. He is the founder of Sinnot Technologies, a clean energy technology company dedicated to solving energy poverty in Africa through rendering unbeatable solar solution services (Micro or Mini grid), producing affordable quality local inverters, advancing on innovation, creativity, researches and training on various clean energy technology that provide solutions to energy challenges and climate change in Africa. Ayobami has trained over 2000 youths in Nigeria on Solar innovation. A devoted Christian, an NYSC state award winner and a member of several reputable bodies - Nigerian Society of Engineers, Tony Elumelu Foundation Alumni, Orange Corner Nigeria Alumni and Institute of Strategic Management Nigeria. Ayobami is committed to solve energy poverty in Africa and train more youths on clean energy technology. He talks about how we can use technology to address the issue of climate change focusing in how to generate affordable investors in Nigeria given the current state in Nigeria where over 40 houses do not have access to stable electricity and so most people use generators that come with their own effects to the environment such as air and sound pollution. He realises everyone needs electricity but questions how it can be made more affordable for them and decides to design an invertor locally such that average Nigerians can generate their life independent using solar innovation. The project also focuses on creating opportunities for the youth, bringing out awareness on using alternative sources of energy putting into consideration the impact which they have had on the environment and have gone ahead to train young people on how to make solar lamps, creating energy optimization device, using artificial intelligence, carrying out physical awareness on when and how to use lights. Adedokun put emphasis on how Africa has become a dumping site for most of the devoted countries and mentions how they are encouraging masses to use energy saving devices.
