Beyond COP26 — UN Virtual Conference of Youth (vCOY16) Workshop
On October 30, 2021 COP26 and Beyond hosted a workshop during COY16 with speakers Ed Wilson, Sam Wilson and William Wilson from COP26 and Beyond and Priyanka Prakash, Honorary POP Youth Mentor and Ambassador Against Plastics and Program Director, Ervis Foundation.
The session explored the immediate steps after COP26, what remains to be done beyond COP26 in areas like climate law, energy transition, implications for jobs, public engagement and climate communication. The panelists also discussed the implications of COP26 for youth activists and top tips for engaging in climate action beyond COP26.

It was very interesting to explore the possible challenges that will remain, post the conference – and to look at whether or not a ‘just transition’ is possible, given the worsening state of the climate crisis. Platforms such as these are truly inspiring as they give us the opportunity to exchange varied experiences, perspectives and understandings that culminate to form effective solutions for our planet.”
