United States – June 9-10, 2021
Featuring close to 15 sessions, the days June 9 and 10, 2021 will focus on youth-led climate action in the United States. Co-presented by FXB Climate Advocates, the sessions will bring together public leaders, academics, civil society members, activists, and youth through project presentations, panel discussions, dialogues, and workshop. Advocacy, environmental justice, climate migration, plastic pollution, youth climate leadership, native american youth leadership, impact investment, and other related themes will be topics of focus.
The following are the goals of the POP Festival 2021 in the United States:
- Step-up youth-led efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, promote renewable energy, and an adaptive capacity to climate change impacts by amplifying diverse voices and action.
- Showcase sub-national efforts to integrate climate change measures into policies, strategies and planning and engage youth and the most vulnerable communities in the process.
Demonstrate institutional capacity and action to improve climate education and strengthen resilience in school and university settings, while promoting meaningful youth participation.

This workshop focuses on building mental health and finding peace within ourselves. It involves a 15-minute lecture on yoga and mindfulness, 20-minute yoga practice, 5-minute relaxation, and 40-minute Zazen practice. Through this session, the participants can learn how to build inner peace and take care of oneself mentally and physically through yoga and zazen practice; and experience how to apply the learned knowledge in practice and gain it as a living skill.
