Modelling Low-Carbon Transition scenarios for developing countries – A Nigerian Case Study

Nigeria’s energy system is dominated by traditional biomass and fossil fuels. There is a huge need to study long-term low carbon development strategies. One approach includes the TIMES (integrated MARKAL – EFOM System) models which encompass all the steps from primary resources through the chain of processes that transform, transport, distribute and convert energy into the supply of energy services demanded by energy consumers
