September 19, 2020
On September 19, 2020, Transformation Home Africa organized the World Cleanup Day in Cross River State, Calabar through the support and coordination of POP leader, Samuel C. Okorie. Focusing on advocacy, the event featured a sanitation drive, public demonstration, and signing of the World Cleanup Day 2020 pledge to keep the environment clean and free from plastic waste. The sanitation drive was conducted in the Marian market in Calabar which has a footfall of thousands of people. It had a reach of over 3,000 people offline and 1,000 online and drew the attention of the Ministry of Environment and CUDA on the pressing environmental issues of the state and the need to adopt a sustainable approach for a clean and green society.
